Building Self-Awareness Through Real-Life Scenarios

Each EAP session begins with relatable, real-life scenarios that adolescents frequently encounter—peer pressure, academic stress, social media influence, and family dynamics. For example, in Session 0, EAP hosts a “Meet Your Village” parent-child orientation meeting, establishing a collaborative foundation. These discussions help adolescents realize that their struggles are shared, and allow them to build a sense of community and trust.

In these sessions, questions like, “How do you handle expectations when they feel overwhelming?” foster introspection. This reflective approach helps participants better understand their emotions and responses, and encourages self-awareness that is essential for growth.
